In the spirit of MetalPriest Fastball thread here's another great underrated 90's pop group! O.K. I lied! They are technically 2,000 but barely out of the reach of the 90's! These guys had a huge smash with Story of a Girl and may of continued if they didn't have a dispute with their record company forcing them to do their music independently if they wanted to have any creative freedom. Their hit c.d. which I like track for track was:

I remember Absolutely (Story of a Girl) very well!!! The other three songs you posted were WAYYY better with BACK TO ME being my favorite from these three! What a great tune!

My feelings exactly and that's why people should buy albums! The single as a rule is just an appetizer and the album is where the meat really is!

I always find better songs than the single...this whole idea or concept that music should go back to singles like th 50's...just doesn't work for me. Has to be an album. Too many good ideas to wrap into one tune and I like going on little audio adventures.

I'll probably look into this too. That tune was damn good

I remember hearing Absolutely (Story of a Girl) on the radio quite a bit. The song got annoying after hearing it so much, but I do enjoy it. After hearing the other vids posted, I have concluded that this band's biggest plus is how they have a great play on lyrical wording. The lyrics themselves are the hook, and quite catchy.

Their Debut "Something to Listen To" from 1995 is pretty good. It is sorta hard to find all the songs online to listen to, but what I have found reminds me of Matchbox 20 or Rob Thomas' Tabitha's Secret.

When I googled Nine Days, I discovered there was several earlier albums, and I do like to start at the beginning

Formed in 1994, they released their first album, "Something To Listen To" in 1995. Their second release, "Monday Songs" was released in 1996, "Three" in 1998, and their major label debut, "The Madding Cow" in 2000. The Madding Cow featured the hit songs, "Absolutely" and "If I am" This album was very influential to the sound of many indie rock, alt rock, pop punk, emo, and alternative bands to come in the 2000s. They released 3 more albums through the 2000's and are working on a fourth to be released in 2011 if all goes as planned.
