...is a metal band from Seattle, Washington. The guys formed in 1991 and since then have made 7 albums!! These guys put all styles of metal into their music...from power metal, thrash, Classical and Progressive....utilizing great musical structures and melodies as well (in a dark way).

Vocalist Warrel Dane and bassist Jim Sheppard were in a band called Sanctuary and were pressured by their label at the time to go from metal to grunge. They didn't agree and Nevermore was born!!

I love Nevermore. One of my favorite bands. I thought that I already posted in a thread here but I guess not. I have been a huge fan from day one. Having been a huge Sanctuary fan I followed the core of the group over into their next
incarnation and bought the Self Titled debt off the internet when it was released .

I have everything they have ever released on CD and even two different official mixes for Enemies of Reality. I also have their Voyager DVD and Warrel's solo release. All of it is AWESOME.

I saw them open for Mercyful Fate at the Ventura Theater and even met
Warrel Dane after the show .

Bob is a big fan of theirs as well, he'll be by for sure. I have quite a few of their albums but haven't had time to really give them a serious listen...sigh I am never going to catch up with all the music I have backlogged.

Still I will play one of their CD's tomorrow.

He definitely has the look of a savage god, and for sure plays like one. He's the whole package stuffed into one big haired man.

The term "grunge' really has no meaning anyway. I mean Alice In Chains and Soundgarden have very little if anything to do with the Grunge scene that was active in Seattle in the 90's sound wise yet they are still classified as such due to location rather then any shared musical kinship.

Anybody new to Nevermore who hasn't heard Sanctuary definitely needs to check them out. Warrel Dane, (Vocals ) Jeff Loomis ( Guitar ) and Jim Butler ( Bass )
all left Sanctuary to form Nevermore
