Mr. Bungle was an experimental rock/avant-garde metal band from Humboldt County, California. When the band originated, all of the original members were still in high school and had taken the name from an educational film. The band went through many different genres as often as all in one single song. They also played a number of cover songs during live shows and dressed up to entertain the crowds.

The band broke up in 2004, though never announced officially, due to tensions in the band and the guys not even speaking to each other for a number of years. Mike Patton had continued his success with a number of other bands he started both during and after Mr. Bungle.

I'm going to do a review of California, probably tomorrow. One of the best albums ever created.

Good band. Debut is the best by far IMHO. Their other albums are good though, I like Easter Bunny too. Listened to Bungle the first time we ate LSD, and as a result they have sort of a mythic status in my circle.
