Hans Zimmer has a quite incredible body of work to his name
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_Zimmer_discography

I went to see his tour about 3 months ago, and what an incredible experience it was! Absolutely top notch musicianship, fantastic movie scores & a light show by Marc Brickman, who did Floyd's Pulse show.

Here's a Pirates of the Caribbean medley - incredible performance

Joe Jackson composed some soundtracks.

This one seems to me really successful:

Two TV shows with great soundtracks are Sons of Anarchy and True Detectives. There are too many really great songs from each to even pick one sample from each. And yet, here they are:

I love John Carpenter's score and found these rock covers of some of my favourite themes. Really great job even if the videos are simple :

Trading Places (1983)

This was so good, I just assumed this was Mozart or Tchaikovsky or Bach or somebody.
