When I was a kid in the 60s, we were like 9-10 and a new girl in the neighborhood was hanging out on a stoop. We all had a crush on her and so showed our love by each popping up behind a car shouting out the lyrics, "Message to Myra, I love you so!" It was part of a hit song back then, that had a break in the song where the music stopped and the guys in the band shouted, "Message to Myra, I love you so!" I have absolutely NO CLUE how the song went, what type of music it was, who did it etc.
All I know is that it's like a brain worm that goes off in my head every so often. Usually if I get a song running in my head, playing it on YouTube stood it. But with this...no clue.
Anyone remotely remember this song...?
Thanks!

Sorry. No. But thanks!
Another friend sent me that too.
Like I said, I don't even know how the song went, or what type of music it was. All I recall was it was the 60s and they stopped the music in the middle and shouted "Message to Myra, I love you so!" Possibly more than once.
Driving me nuts!

I would ask what year in the 60's.....because Jerry Lee Lewis notoriously married his 13 yr old cousin in the late 50's..and her name was Myra...this was well known and commented on by many in and out of the music scene. Its possible someone wrote a song and inserted that as a 'bad joke' or maybe even Lewis himself did that on a live track that played on the radio.
:dunno:

Are you sure the song wasn't "Message To Martha"? It does contain the lyric "message to Martha" and "I love her so." There were a lot of covers of the song, so one of them could have the break that you're describing.
