Took me some time to really come to like black metal as a genre but now that I love it I decided it was only fair to delve into the discography of probably the main pioneer of black metal. Infamous for numerous reasons particularly the fact the Dawn of the Black Hearts LP coverart has the picture of Dead's body on it after he shot himself. Also infamous for the fact Euronymous was murdered by Varg. But onto the music this is as raw as old school black metal would get in the early releases. Deathcrush was a particularly short EP but I loved each second of it and it is a must get for fans of black metal, same with their debut album De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas. The band have gone through numerous line up changes and I haven't really caught up with their more recent albums apart from the 2014 release Esoteric Warfare.
