I often wear band T shirts and my favouite is my Rory Gallagher one. You wouldn't believe how many people ask me who he is. Very few people (especially my generation) know of him or his music I like to try and educate them
When I was about 12-years-old and listening to Atomic Rooster, I also liked Gene Vincent. There is nothing new in young people liking music from the previous generation(s).
So, according to this comic if someone wears a Metallica t-shirt their favorite song can't be mainstream? That doesn't make any sense to me.
I love seeing people with band shirts ^^
especially when I like that band too
There are people who wears them as a fashion item/statement (the same thing goes with crosses), not even knowing that band existence, wearing logos without clue whatsoever what it represents(think grateful dead bears, rolling stones tongue&lips) misfits is quite popular I would say So that's probably why
Personally, I don't wear band's merch, and nowadays it's more of a fashion thing than anything else
^^I've never been one to collect band t-shirts etc., but I almost bought a Gamma Ray leather jacket a couple years ago, it looked so good and the price was reasonable, but then I had this image of an old man wearing a 'head bangers' leather jacket and it made me laugh...so I passed.
Still the jacket looked impressive, if I was younger I would wear it proudly.
@LG....you would look good in leather.
I use to have a very impressive band t-shirt collection. I have no clue what happened to most of them..........moth snacks I recon.
