Leaves' Eyes is a symphonic/gothic metal band with members coming from Germany and Norway. They were formed by former Theatre of Tragedy singer, Liv Kristine, and her husband, co-vocalist Alex Krull, in 2003 using the line up from his band, Atrocity. The band's lyrical content includes nature, love, history, and vikings.
Liv Kristine thought of the band name due to her influence from nature and writes all of the lyrics.
Their first album, Lovelorn, was released in 2004, their second album, Vinland Saga, was released in May of 2005, with a rating of 3.5 out of 5 from AllMusic (a music guide) and their latest album, Njord, was released in August of 2009 to positive reviews and also got a rating of 3.5/5.
