You also "spelt" spelled incorrectly. :bonk:

:eek:hyeah:

But I won't hold it against ya.

Isn't that one of those words where both is correct, like burned and burnt? Or maybe that's just the case over this side of The Pond.

Whatever, won't hold it against you Mr Lynch :heheh:

Nope, spelt = wheat

Burned and burnt is a good example, but it doesn't work on this one. I liken it to people that say "I seen this band... " No, you saw that band or "I have seen this ....". But straight up 'I seen' just isn't good grammar (not that my grammar is perfect, far from it).

As for grammar across the pond... I ain't gonna touch dat one. :heheh:

What lead singer of any band plays no instrument ??

I believe. . . . . . .
Vince Neal doesn't play one - Motley Crue
DLR doesn't play one - Van Halen
Stephen Percy - RATT

I have seen all three in concert and none of them played an instrument

Actually if you look on youtube for a live version of Ice Cream Man you can see Roth playing an acoustic.

I'm sure it's quite acceptable over here :D

It bugs me when people use double negatives - eg I aint seen nothin'. Drives me insane 52b5vo.jpg

I'll try to make sure I ain't never doing that in threads you visit then. :heheh:

Back on topic....

I think a lot of lead singers don't typically play instruments, but that doesn't mean they don't EVER play anything. Axl, Daltry, Jagger, Roth, Plant, etc .. they all do occasionally, but I wouldn't ever define them as such. I don't think that negates them as "musicians", just that their normal instrument is their microphone

I might have been a bit hasty naming Jim Morrison in this thread cos apparently he played the maracas :heheh: Not that I should laugh at that - I struggle with the triangle :wa:

Ronnie Van Zant (R.I.P.)- Lynyrd Skynyrd
Bon Scott (R.I.P.) - AC/DC
Johnny Rotten - Sex Pistols
Alice Cooper

Just guessing on all of 'em. But I don't think they play instruments.
