The first Sicario is one of the best all around (acting, screenplay, cinematography, casting, soundtrack) movies I've seen in a long time. The second one, if
not quite living up to the first, is freaking great.
Benicio for the win in both of them! Have loved the guy's acting since Traffic.
Me and my best friend double dated and watched this at a drive in when it first came out.
"How to completely ruin making out at lover's lane after a movie - 101"
Yeah, I think that Traffic was the movie that really made me take notice in his acting. He was a goofy character in The Usual Suspects (which is an awesome movie was well), but his acting talents don't exactly shine in it. Traffic, he's damn good, and several movies since that time. I will say though, as good as he was in Traffic, I would have given Joaquin Phoenix the Best Supporting award for Gladiator. He nailed that role and I think it was a far better acting job than Del Toro in Traffic. Just my humble opinion.
Thanks for the heads up, I may move both up on my list of "to see" flicks.
Might try and get through Suicide Squad tonight. If not tonight, sometime this weekend.
This was great and surprisingly moving. The big build-up is their 1980 Wimbledon showdown.
