I could have sworn I've seen a thread like this, but I can't find it, so consider this a reboot.

It's simple. Let us know what was the last concert you went to and perhaps write a few words about it.

I used to go to tons of concerts, almost every week. However, after having a kid and also moving to Greece, there’s not quite as much to choose from and I have to be picky about what I go see.

Anyway, last night I went to see Oceans of Slumber, a progressive doom-ish band from Texas, which I consider the best metal band around right now. Their latest album “Winter” is probably my favorite metal album since Opeth’s "Blackwater Park".

Well, the concert certainly lived up to my expectations. The band was tight with exceptionally good sound. Their singer, Cammie Gilbert, was a super sympathetic frontwoman and an absolute vocal powerhouse live. Easily my favourite female vocalist in metal right now!

Epic and outstanding!

A little different for my typical concert but excellent fun. Weird Al has a great stage show and amazing energy for his age. Well worth the money! :grinthumb

The Monkees at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood, CA. Mike Nesmith says it's his last show as a Monkee. It was awesome. I think the high point was when Nez did a solo version of "Tapioca Tundra". This is their 50th anniversary year, with a fantastic new album and sold out tour, it's been a great year for Monkees fans.
