Who knows. When stuff like this happens, every asshole with a computer tries to be "the first" to break the story even when they don't have the details.

When the report came out, they were saying 5 people on board. Also, most of the reports that I read all cited the TMZ report which said that Kobe's wife, 4 daughters and their brand new baby (6 months old)? were all safe at home. Turns out, TMZ can't get shit right either (no shock). Originally 5 people. Ends up being 9 people. How can you be off by 45% on the number of passengers?

What a monumental loss not just for basketball, but sports in general. I have nothing but respect for the guy, even though Lakers are not my team. He was only 41, his daughter was just 13 and let's not forget the rest of the people who lost their lives. What a tragedy. I feel like these type of accidents with helicopters and private planes happen way too often these days.
