Albums that knocked your cap off or left a lasting impression from the very first play.

I'll kick off with ...

The album that started it all off for me, I picked it up as a young lad and right from the opening track I was completely bowled over. I still have the gatefold tucked away with the rest of my vinyl.

I also bought the 25th Anniversary Edition CD which is a cracking pick up IMO.

What an album.

Some people laugh at Kiss - but if you like 70's hard rock - it's hard not to like Kiss Alive!

Here's a Belter that blew me away the first time I played it and still does now.

Painkiller on first listen was one of those albums that kicked my ass first listen and continues to do so, I love this album.

Pantera%20-%201990%20-%20Cowboys%20From%20Hell.jpg

Pantera with their 5th album really did the same as Painkiller, the opening riff of Cowboys from Hell through to The Art Of Shredding really blew me away. Great album.

I picked this up recently and it was amazing to me from the first notes to hit. Great debut album.

Powerslave a classic Maiden album, amazed the hell out of me, 2 Minutes to Midnight, Aces High 2 of my favourites of all time.

An album that got heavily panned by critics, I loved this one also when I first got into it, it isn't my favourite album but that is more that I love PG more. Great album Houses.

Shout%20at%20the%20Devil.jpg

Old school Crue like this continues to get blasts through speakers, Shout is definitely my favourite album of theirs, much better then the debut.

Perfect album to get into QR with. Was certainly the album that showed me why it was so heavily favoured.

Don't understand why this or even Burn gets so bashed but I find this one an under rated gem, I love Machine Head the most but this album has the same kick ass feel to it for me.
