I'm curious about two things for this thread.

1) Which of the five studio albums is your favorite?

2) If you could, please rank them in order in a post from favorite to least favorite.

Rocka Rolla (1974)
Sad Wings of Destiny (1976)
Sin After Sin (1977)
Stained Class (1978)
Hell Bent For Leather (1978)

For my tastes, they are all good and all unique enough to not blend into each other. I do like them all, however, it's easy for me to choose my favorite.

Hell Bent For Leather is the album that I listen to the most, for a reason. It fairly easily gets my vote.

Ranking them in order of favorite to least favorite:

1) Hell Bent For Leather
2) Sad Wings of Destiny
3) Stained Class
4) Sin After Sin
5) Rocka Rolla

I like Sad Wings of Destiny and the next one Sin After Sin but Rocka Rolla isn't much of a listen from memory and the band were still trying to find a style on that one?. An old rock buddy of mine actually rated Rocka Rolla but he was always drinking so his judgement may have been impaired some what in alcohol consumption??.

Stained Class and Hell Bent For Leather are both a good listen in my humble opinion.

I listened to all of their 70's albums last night. I have to say that on any given day, I could flip flop Sad Wings and Stained Class and I could do the same with Sin After Sin and flip flop with Rocka Rolla. Rocka Rolla was an album I didn't give much credit to for a very long time, but as I've gotten older, I've really grown fond of it. They were definitely still trying to figure things out and you can definitely tell that they had prog influence in places on that album. However, there are a number of really solid tracks.

Drummer Les Binks is partly the reason for my top 2 albums, unreal drummer.

Stained Class for the longest time was my favourite 70s album and still is. Blues influence metal perfectly done. Rocka Rolla is a close second.
