Re: Journey ~ Journey Debut (1975)

They tried to revisit their roots during their 30th Anniversary tour during the first set. They played Of A Lifetime and a few others from the early days and the greatest hits/ballad fans bitched and complained about it. They are at it again regarding Eclipse. I love the pre Perry records and I think Eclipse is brilliant.

I remember reading about the moans and groans, there was also talk of a dvd release.

Just had a look at the set list and some great songs were played on this tour.:)

I'd love a dvd from that tour. I looked forward to hearing those old tunes. Augeri played a Telecaster during those old songs which surprised me. Didn't know he played.

Fantastic album. I couldn't seriously say I was a fan of Journey until I heard the pre Perry stuff. Cool review.

I always thought this was a very good album spoiled by weak vocals. The arrival of Steve Perry meant they had a great singer, but they changed their style. Does anyone know which is the best of Neil Schon's solo albums?
