Jazz has had quite a bit of electronic manipulation of sound in its history ie: Herbie Hancock, so the big question today is..........is the new electronica also the newest form of jazz? Is electronic manipulation (nu-jazz) the route to pushing the limits of jazz and a means of a jazz revival?

Thoughts? comments?

Old thread, I know... but there are some electronica artists I like that are re-inventing the old jazz sound with electronics.

Parov Stelar is one, Club des Belugas, and Goldfish are others.

"Booty Swing" Parov Stelar

"Hold Tight" Goldfish

Electro-swing is a classification attached to some of these artists, and I really like what they have been doing these passed 10 years.
