Illy's music has grown to be some of my favourite hip hop so far. From Melbourne, Illy takes influence from many different styles of music, and incorporates them into his verses. And on his second album The Chase, he collaborates with a host of Australian artists to broaden the horizons further. The end result is an ethereal and smooth combination of hip hop beats and pop rock sensibilities. In the end, it's just good music!

I like this guy Sal. Very laid back hip-hop. It reminds me of a mix between Kid Cudi and Mat Kearney in that it's like more of a singing, low key, easy listening Hip-Hop group!

He doesn't remind me of anyone! Through Triple J, I've listened to a lot of Aussie hip hop, and Illy is probably equal to Horrowshow as my favourite so far! I love the mixtures of styles he creates and the emotion he puts into his rapping, to me it's unreal!
