...to resurrect just ONE SINGLE ARTIST - not a pair, not a band or any other such combination, just one single artist - for one final gig, which you would be able to go and see, who would it be? And why?

For me it would have to be David Bowie.
Hugely influential artist in my teens and I never got to see him.
I've not liked all of his material, but I would forgive him that just so long as he played stuff from Hunky, Ziggy and Aladdin.

Mickey Mouse! !!!!! Stupid premise . Where are the people that know something about music on this lame site?? Name someone beside household names? Are we supposed to go down the list and say, Oh, Yeah. That was so clever? Give me a break. I wish…. I wish,,,, I wish I were a fish!!! Music was still made after 1986 people.

And your pick is?

I would resurrect Antonio Vivaldi. Why? Heavy metal has deep seeded roots in classical music. I would be interested to see Vivaldi's reaction to how his music influenced heavy metal. Metal has some of the most grandiose music, dynamic extremes, and inventive virtuosity. Vivaldi has been emulated by many metal artists....Malmsteen, Eddie Van Halen, Ritchie Blackmore, Marty Friedman, and Randy Rhoads (to name a few)

Children of Bodom may not be your cup of tea, but listen to this.......

This is Children of Bodom's interpretation of "Summer" from Vivaldi's "Four Season's". The guitar work is quite impressive!!

Or how about this by Dark Moor...also an impression of Vivaldi's "Four Seasons"

Although he “approved” it, I wonder what Alberto Ginastera thought of this.
