Tom Mouse Smith is very talented and cool, and is looking for 1,000 subs on his YouTube channel. He is very talented and is living with a serious heart defect described here:

    https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/heartdefects/hlhs.html

If you have a YouTube channel and want to help him out by subscribing, that would be very cool. Here are some videos that tell his story...

Let's help him live out his dream.

Here is a full set live performance...

And this is how much emotion and reality he feels about his situation, original song...

Thankfully Tom can sing this original song he wrote, I Am Alive...

    Thankfully, he is.

    But he has scars...

    Thanks!

BTW check out iTunes and buy his music. Help him out!

    Tom Mouse Smith.

    His first video BTW...

    Blast from his past!

Thank you very much to anyone who has made it this far into this thread. When I first became a fan of Tom's I had no idea about his heart condition. When I found out about it, it definitely floored me and made me a bigger fan. It scares me, I admit that. This boy was born with a condition that is fatal without surgery or heart transplant, and there is no cure or guarantees on quality of life or length of life. He does not want to turn his experience into a sob story, he has made that clear. He doesn't appear on popular talent shows. He doesn't go out of his way to tell his story in order to gain sympathy. He does make the most of his opportunity at life, and he is honest and soulful in his songs. I think the world is a better place with him and his talent in it. Without modern surgery, we would not be hearing his songs.

As classic rock fans I'm sure we all remember this one...

Tom's story put things into perspective for me. None of us are guaranteed to be alive tomorrow, and that is especially true for Tom.

    Thank You for listening.

Tom hit 1000 subscribers on his YouTube channel today, September 26th. Thanks to anyone here who helped. Here is a nice original from him called United City, about the terrorist attack on Manchester, UK on May 22, 2017.

    Thanks!

Go back and listen to the lyrics in the first song in this thread and I think maybe Tom is sending a message to several TV talent shows who wanted to showcase him and make money because of his heart condition. Tom turned them down because he loves and creates music for his own reasons, not money or exploitation. Music is his passion, and it helps him deal with what life has dealt him. (read news stories linked below the videos)

A new video about his story...

    His latest performance YT video...

There are a bunch of very cool performance videos on this YouTube channel as well. Check them out!

Anyway, it's an interesting musical and human interest story that I thought I would share. Tom is a local North East England talent, the same area where Eric Burdon grew up and rose to fame.

I've become a big fan, and I'll end this thread here. I promise!

BTW Tom hosts his own radio show these days in Sunderland, England every Sunday from 4pm to 7pm local time in North East England. I live in Connecticut so it is on from 11am to 2pm EST in the USA. You can do the math for wherever you live. It's on right now as I'm posting this on Sunday October 14th.

Here is a direct live link to his show:

    https://www.sparksunderland.com/live/

And this is the main website for the radio station, Spark Sunderland:

He plays a lot of cool local music from that area, including his own!
