^ Don't ever take up roller skating. It's more dangerous than wrestling wild animals from Africa. I had a friend who lost control, going down hill, and people just laughed at her. When she hit the bottom, she broke her ankle and needed steel pins.

Roller skates and going down big hills are definitely a big no-no!!! That's how I broke my shoulder :bonk: ... I will stick with level surfaces ... even better I should find a proper rink ... but around here those are rare as hen's teeth these days! It's one of the few aerobic type activities I actually ENJOY :D or used to. Not too many worries for now. I've had more than one sign to hold off for the time being.

Swimming is low impact, but I find myself shouting at the teenagers when they misbehave.

Swimming is what I have been doing the most lately! I don't go racing around like an Olympic swimmer or anything. Usually I paddle back and forth for about 30-50 minutes and that seems to be doing good things for me. The place I live at has a community swimming pool and usually I manage to hit it just right where I have the entire pool all to myself! :D

I will admit, I have an immense fear of aging. Mind you it's not the addition of years itself but the potential to look back on life and have a ton of regrets. That is one of my biggest fears! It is also a big reason as to why I have not sought out to get married and have children yet.

That never happens at my local pool. There are always loads of kids and dads showing off in front of them.

I just take life as it comes and the older I get the faster the time seems to fly by :pullhair: I look forward to having children one day but not for a while yet  ............. too much to see and too much to do.
