Hi I joined over a year ago, but have been absent since. My father died, we moved to a new area, and I have had three heart ops since then (Final one this coming Friday and then done. All being well) So ...

Been catching up on old posts here, good to read.

My name is David, from Manchester, England, but now living in Poulton Le Fylde with my wife and three dogs. Been a rock fan via the Glam bands like Sweet, T. Rex, Mott The Hoople and others since 13. My first gig was Queen in 1974 ... saw them a further 16 times with Fred. My all time favourite band is Cheap Trick though.

Cheers

Welcome back, David!

Sorry to hear about your loss of your father and health issues. Hopefully you have all the heart stuff behind you.

I look forward to seeing you in the posts! :)

Thanks all .... op (connecting to pacemaker fitted six weeks ago) went well and for the first time in two years my heart is back in rhythm, and not like a jazz drummer with epilepsy :) Still at 80 bpm (down from 120) resting but will be tweaked via electrodes down to ideal 60 bpm.

Looking forward to a few gigs now coming up ... Albert Bouchard of Blue Oyster Cult in Preston. Steve Wynn of the Dream Syndicate in Manchester the next night, and Wishbone Ash down the road in Lytham St Annes.

Should have been going to Journey and Cheap Trick in November (Manchester and Liverpool) but Journey cancelled. Gutted to miss CT coming over for the first time in ages. :-(

Cheap Trick are a huge fave of mine, first concert I ever saw when I was about 14/15, Dream Police tour.

Also big fan of the Sweet. Never saw the original but I did see Andy Scott’s line up with Mick on drums back in about 1986. Legendary!
