were formed in 1973. their name was taken from a gang of street kids featured in a novel by William Burroughs.





Original singer Gary Holton died in 1985 and in 2002 the HMK came back with keyboardist Danny Peyronel on lead vocals.

After hearing these guys previously they definitely have my seal of approval! These guys have an amazing energy!

They've been around a long time. Famous cult band. Catchy Songs, fun spirit....they OOOZE rock and roll!

From 3:08 to the end of this track is pure heaven. Great Track! We Gotta Go!!

Heavy Metal Kids old singer Gary Holton was best known as an actor. He played the part of Wayne in hit UK comedy" Auf Wiedersehen pet ".A series about some English bricklayers working in Germany... I treasure these episodes on video/dvd...they were brill !
It was said that Gary was offered the position of vocalist for AC/DC after Bon Scotts death..but was too busy with his acting career.
As for the band THE HEAVY METAL KIDS didnt crack the UK market as expected...they were bigger in Norway! Your right MP they were more underground.....it was 76 more people were into prog rock at that time.
This is probably their best known popular song........

Not a bad song in the bunch...like Cheap Trick..one of those heavy,melodic, fun bands!
