The above song was placed into the film 'The Outsiders: Complete Edition', instead of the original soundtrack score... And I am looking for the title. Nobody anywhere on the net seems to know, and this would make a great discovery

It sounds a lot like Rosie & The Originals, but I've checked every track and can't find one that has the same song. It also has a Santo & Johnny vibe, but isn't by them either. Or The Penguins. I know their are many late 50s groups that did this kind of surfer/slide guitar melodies and wouldn't know where else to look..

Any expert that might know who it is... go for it..

I'm seeing references to Coppola replacing his father's original "grandiose" movie soundtrack in 2005, with more "contemporary" 60's music. No listing of what music they used so far.

That's always been the thing with movies. The soundtrack of the movie vs the soundtrack album that gets released are generally pretty different and it's very difficult to find a listing of music used in a movie.

I asked on the blu-ray.com forum here.
