Enjoy your special day Fox,
Happy Birthday, Foxhound.
***Thumper .. he wishes that he was that young and good looking .....
Foxhound predates that old fellow by a long shot. They've found Foxhound's picture in the burial tombs of the pharaohs from the Old Kingdom:
Happy Birthday to the top rock and roll animal.
Happy birthday, Foxhound!
Thank you, thank you!
It was a beautiful day. I drove down to Turkey Point on Lake Erie for a day at the beach. I opted for a light lunch of a half dozen corn dogs at a beach side stand:
I limited myself to just a single candy apple for dessert since I was planning a hearty birthday supper later:
I spent the afternoon squealing tires while cruising the strip and lounging in the sun while listening to cassettes of the Rolling Stones, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Cream, Slim Harpo, Yardbirds, Troggs, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, Dead Boys and Blondie on my ghetto blaster.
For supper I decided to continue a birthday tradition and drove up to Camp 31 in Paris.
I started with a bucket of southern fried chicken as an appetizer:
For my main course I selected a couple of racks of BBQ ribs with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob:
Urrrrpppp!!! Sorry.... And for dessert I'd brought back a stick of cotton candy from the beach. Yes, spun sugar with artificial colouring and flavouring! Nothing but the best for an old fox on his birthday!
Since the night is still young, I've hauled my speakers out into my tree house and I plan to blast this fine tune out onto the street until some killjoy or other calls the police and they force me to cease and desist:
After that I'll have to content myself with howling at the moon until dawn.
Happy (belated) Birthday, Fox! ^^^ Now that's a heckuva celebration! All of the excellent food, desserts and music do look mighty good! Do you know the total calorie count for those goodies, or perhaps I shouldn't ask?
