Albums:

Don't Metal with Evil (1985)
No One Gets Out (1991)
Victims of the Night (1997)
Tricks, Treats And Other Tales From The Crypt (2003)
Horror Fire (2006)
Terrortory (2012)

Halloween is a metal band from Detroit Michigan that emerged in 1983, first as a band named Bitch, and announced a name change on stage in the midst of a show. The band had already been using the moniker “Detroit’s Heavy Metal Horror Show” and decided to call themselves Halloween. They began as Shock-Rock/Glam Metal band, with all kinds of spooky props and pyrotechnics on stage and outlandish costumes and face paint. Halloween’s sound is a cross between Alice Cooper and Motley Crue but just a tad heavier.

The band released their first album, “Don’t Metal With Evil” in 1985. This album was released on their own label, Motor City Metal.

Band line-up :
Brian Thomas ~ Vocals
Rick Craig ~ Guitars
George Neil ~ Bass
Bill Whyte ~ Drums

This album has some flashy guitar work, devilish drums, and of course, Halloween inspired themes and lyrics for the music.

During one of the band’s shows in 1985, lead vocalist, Brian Thomas, got too close to one of the flame throwers and melted his spandex pants to his legs. He never stopped the show and didn’t seek medical attention until after the show. That is so metal……..eat your heart out Nikki Sixx!

Re: Official Halloween Thread

At first I thought it was a typo and this was a New Helloween thread...:D

I have heard of these guys before, but don't have any of their albums presently.

Great story about the singer carrying on after getting crisped by the pyrotechnics, perhaps the Kings of Leon could learn a couple things about professionalism from dedicated bands like Halloween.:grinthumb

This band is fantastic! Their later music is awesome and I will get to more Halloween in a few days :) The band is still together, but is now a 5 man band, and they have some kickass metal :D

3rd album release of 1997 "Victims of the Night". This album is one of Halloween's better albums.

All their albums are good, Riff Raff, but I would start with "Horror Fire"
