Re: Luckily we've still got Grace Slick today

One of my favorite Female vocalists. Tremendous vocal range. Love the Airplane and Starship. She's it.

Her autobiography, Somebody To Love?, is a scream! I highly recommend it.

I'll probably get into trouble here,,,but I never really followed Airplane or Starship. In fact I liked "Freedom at Point Zero" the most of the latter incarnation of the band.

I am going to hide now before you all start picking on me...lol.:bricks:

Indeed, with Grace, she's often overlooked when it comes to female vocalists. It's always Janis (not a putdown) or Ann Wilson or Lita Ford. Grace could easily sing circles around the cackling whispers from the current crop of girl singers over the past decade or so. People just don't know.

I always like "White Rabbit", I know it's a popular Airplane song but it's a good example of Grace's vocal ability.

No-one's gonna pick on ya, but remember that crappy singers like Madonna and J-Lo will be lost in oblivion way before JA will ever be:):)

I love her! Not just her voice and her image of 60s hippie, but I'm really in crush for young Grace Slick. She's most beautiful woman on earth with amazing voice. I'm big Jefferson Airplane fan and know lot about her, and I'm so glad he started to paint, I hope one day I'll buy her picture (of Hendrix or Garcia :D)
