GOATSNAKE.........One hell of a band !! Formed Los Angeles California, releasing a few e.ps resulting in their Ist full album in 1999.
This is Stoner/doom metal at its best.
The band split 2001....reformed again in 2004, reunited 2010 for the "Roadburn" festival and have since played "Hellfest" 2011

Good to see some love for GOATSNAKE on CRF ....this band deserved their own thread.
I must say their cover to FREEs "Heartbreaker" is quite brilliant. Done in their own style. I wonder what classic rock FREE fans [ like Sox etc ] think of this version...

Can't go wrong with Goatsnake specially since bassist Scott Reeder (from Across the River, The Obsessed, Kyuss, and Unida) played on their 2004 EP "Trampled Under Hoof".

Hmm gone very quiet on the recordings front from GOATSNAKE....but are out there playing the odd Metal fest.
