Legendary ZZ Top drummer Frank Beard has died, very sad news indeed...Right up there as one of my fave bands.

PS-I first got into ZZ Top with the music video to "Gimme All Your Lovin'" from 1983, so my dad bought that song's album Eliminator.
Afterwards I'd bought its follow-up Afterburner circa 1985.
Then got into some of their past albums and songs like "La Grange" and "Tush".
Also enjoyed watching their appearance as an old west band in Back to the Future Part III on the big screen sometime around Memorial Day 1990!

i saw them twice back in the Mid 80's when they were over here in the UK...First time was in the Summer of 1985 when they headlined The Donington Park Monsters of Rock Festival ( Donington Park is a big motor racing circuit, the festival was inside the track circuit.) A helicopter flew over the festival site with The Eliminator car suspended below it...Second time i saw them was about a year later when they played at The Bingley Hall in Stafford...Right up there as one of my all time fave American bands...Was playing their first album last night, decent debut album.
