Foster the People on inspiration, odd jobs and meeting Bono - CNN.com

"We've grown up on the Beach Boys and the Beatles and Blur and Bowie and the Clash. Also E.L.O. and Hall and Oates," said the trio's frontman, Mark Foster. "Those are all artists who write songs that are accessible but still left of center. It's intelligent pop. There's still something different and complex about it. That's our favorite type of music to make."

Hmmm...the Clash a Pop band...:wtf:

Absolutely not. I saw this band a few days ago on some show, guess they are the flavour of the month. Nothing wrong with them, but not sure I'll get into them either.

Snappy little tune there. Not bad.

Although I don't really hear the influences that they mentioned.

I do have a sudden urge to whistle though.

Face the Music was the first album by ELO that I could not get into.

A little ditty: a few years ago I followed a car on the M27 with ELO I as the registration. Inside, it was full of people with curly hair and sunglasses.
