Anyway, I think this is the place for topic like this.

Once very popular tunes but more and more neglected during the last two decades and somehow fallen into oblivion.

Which are these pre-2000 songs?

 

I would start with:

Shadow on the Wall by Mike Oldfield and Roger Chapman as a singer, released in 1983.

This tune caught me hard as a schoolboy in the 80's. I think it was still popular in the 90's.

 

High on Emotion by Chris de Burgh, released in 1984.

 

My Oh My by Slade, released in 1983.

I feel that even this huge hit is partly forgotten nowadays.

 

Every 1's a Winner by Hot Chocolate, released in 1978.

 

Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy [The Electric Drill Song] by Mr. Big, released in 1991.

 

When The Night Comes by Joe Cocker, released in 1989.

 

Everytime You Go Away by Paul Young, released in 1985.
