Jan Dukes de Grey released only two albums, with thier first, Scorcerers(1970), is tripped out in acid folk, however thier second, Mice And Rats In The Lofts(1971) sees the LSD not as strong. British progressive/psych folk rock/jazz with hits of acid splattered throughout the album. Three free form tracks that are more prog leaning than thier debut. The title track is the shortest song on the album and is crazy with tribal drumming, Hendrix drenched guitar and lunatic screams. Psycho.

The group was first a duo consisiting of Michael Bairstow and Derek Noy, both multi-instrumentalists and the first album consisted of short songs thus limiting them to experimentation. They added drummer Dennis Conlan for Mice And Rats In The Lofts and lengthened thier song structure to let thier talents come through with an array of different instruments too long to list.

Adventerous and often referred to as the first cousin of Comus.
