ABBA ... take a chance on me. (i am not a major abba fan, but i must try not to be negative. therefore, i will refrain from my customary abba rant on these premises.)

Big Brother & the Holding Company/Janis Joplin ... summertime. (kath starts up her janis impersonation, her houseplants wither and die.)

Buddy Holly & the Crickets ... not fade away. love the stones's's cover, too.

Johnny Cash ... his cover of hurt. i know i should pick one of his primo era classics. i don't care.

Faces/Rod Stewart ... faces, stay with me. rod, his cover of angel.

Jackson Five/Michael Jackson ... i want you back. perfect lil pop song.

Elton John ... ackkkkk. i might need a top fifty here. ummmm. where to now st peter. (just move on, kath.)

Metallica ... enter sandman

Mott the Hoople ... well, i'm gonna pick all the young dudes, although my favorite album is really mott.

Roy Orbison ... crying.

Radiohead ... high and dry.

Thin Lizzy ... emerald, live.

Tragically Hip ... um, sorry. i don't know anything by em.

Velvet Underground/Lou Reed ... sweet jane.

Stevie Wonder ... superstition. among almost everything the man's ever done. sniff.
