    6. POSSESSED ~ REVELATIONS OF OBLIVION,

The God Fathers of Death Metal return sounding just as wicked and pissed off as ever. Riffs , riffs , riffs... rather then easing up in their old age these guys sound maybe a bit harsher then they did BITD ..A truely inspired jount through the darkside ..this ones on my short list and will be spinning on my TT sometime in the very near future.

I did listen to Possessed about 20 years ago I had a couple of studio albums one I think was called Seven Churches early black metal from memory?.

Try listening to Thin Lizzy Live And Dangerous instead it will rock your balls off!!.

    7. SAINT VITUS ~ SAINT VITUS,

Another old school Doom Metal legend returns having just reuntited with original singer Scott Reagers.
Reagers manic wails are still killer if a bit more gravely in places ...not a bad thing. He puts in a great vocal performance throughout but Dave Chandler's down tuned riffing and psycho psychedelic solos still dominant the proceedings. This is Saint Vitus' strongest release since Die Healing .
    Great comeback album.

That Possessed album was one hell of a comeback album much like Carcass in 2013. Fantastic album.

One of my favourites of the year and a phenomenal Atmospheric Black Metal band and album. Bandcamp offered up some real gems this year for me.

Again that has 0 relevance to this thread. Also no Possessed are Death Metal not Black.

Suicidal Angels - Years of Aggression

One of 2019's most underrated bangers. Thrash metal they play never gets old or boring. They don't get enough credit for their role in modern Thrash. Years of Aggression has some melodic parts but mostly the aggressive tempo and riffs with awesome vocals.
