Recently watched Deep Purple's set at California Jam in '74 and Blackmore plays some sweet blues in the middle of his guitar solo during You Fool No One. He used that blues bit in his solo spot on through his Rainbow days.

saxon has a bluesy song thats pretty cool, i forget what its called but it does sound good bein from a more metal band, and aerosmith's honkin on bobo is one of my favorite albums
