Funny thing is, growing up in the states and the radio years were a mix bag of songs by artist that you had no idea if they were brits or US bands.
You knew the Beatles and the Stones and the Who, But I didn't know till later years that Led Zeppelin, Cream, and several other bands were british.
I could tell a little if they had that accent that you could pick up on like Gerry & The Pacemakers singing "Ferry Cross The Mersey"..
Later years was that Judas Priest kick.... From then on it was Black Sabbath and loads of metal bands for me..

My favorite The Who member is Roger D.---He was so awesome in the movie "Tommy"--
Got around to finally seeing that movie because so many friends were telling me to watch it. Best scene Tina Turner singing "The Acid Queen"
