I finally got to see ESBEN AND THE WITCH at the COSMOSIS Festival in Manchester UK.
It really pains me to say it ... but." They were awful......"
They started off so well, the first couple of tracks were excellent, real doomy affairs...
Then technical difficulties and the fact the guitarist broke a string...a delay of 5 minutes or so. They never recovered the songs were too long,slow, repetitive and you couldn't hear the girl singer etc
You have to blame a poor soundsman....where was some reverb on the vocals ? Plus the fact you could hear another band [Sleaford Mods ] with their hip hop rant and tacky backing track blasting out at the same time !

I will give them another chance...every band can have an off day.The cds are great....so enough negative vibes
