Here's an American Music Awards appearance from Electric Light Orchestra on January 31st, 1977, the only award show ELO ever performed at, probably because of Dick Clark and American Bandstand since he also ran this as well, despite their never even receiving a nomination, let alone win either here or any other ceremony, now with restored intro by Helen Reddy, then complete outro...
I am really digging Helen Reddy's incredible intro, "One of the exciting things about contemporary music is that someone's always looking for something new, like experimenting with electronic transmitter pickups, even using lasers. I'm just... mentioning these things, they're not really new anymore because they've all been successfully brought together in a wonderful musical concept called ELO, the Electric Light Orchestra.", now will somebody please send this on to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominating Committee in New York City!
