I watched it again last night ..it just keeps getting better and better for me.
I hope they release another CD with new material sometime soon.

Re: Down

LOVE this band and the direction it's going into. Phil Anselmo finally got good sense knocked into him and cleaned up his act, he always has been amongst one of the most versatile front-men of metal and he drives the nail right through the head on this one. The southern gents sure as heck prove that DOWN is not just a "Hobby" band for them, they are in it for good.

All the 3 albums so far have been nothing short of pure gold, bower and keenan have been consistently doing what they do best with their axes and Phil...all the stories that do the round about him, they MIGHT be true but hey, that does not take the fact away from him that the man who was touted as the voice of metal in the 90's still got what it takes to get the job done...and HOW!

Eagerly awaiting the next album and HOPING they get a gig in India!

Re: Down

to be honest, NO, I haven't heard them. Googled them though........it is mainly a supergroup spin-off from Pantera and Crowbar. I liked most of Pantera's stuff so I will give these guys a listen for sure.

Check them out at the Down website.

Pretty wild band! I am listening right now to the Live album "Diary of a Mad Band". Very heavy and sludgy.

Re: Down

I didn't realize Phil Anselmo's voice was that deep. My god he can growl like a rabbid dog. I am only familar with Cowboys From Hell and I dont recall his voice being that harsh.

:heheh:

Re: Down

Great band. Own their entire discography including the new live album and DVD.
We already have a Down thread made by Comfortably Numb as I recall though.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yes thank you DKW! I thought I remembered he had one when I read this thread as well. Unfortunately more common words like "Down" don't get accepted for tags so thread searches don't work for them so it makes it hard for Riff Raff to know if there's already a thread. :) Anyway, here's some more Down for Riff Raff to sift through! :grinthumb
