March 3, 1923

Doc Watson is a songwriter and singer of Bluegrass, Folk, Country, Blues and Gospel music. He has won seven Grammy awards as well as a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Watson's flatpicking skills and knowledge of traditional American music are highly regarded.

When I heard the news yesterday, my first thought was "I'll bet he's jamming with Levon now". I hope I'm right. Thank you for sharing your artistry with the world. Rest In Peace Doc.
