Don't like Meshuggah at all, so I'll sit this dance out.

Brutal, raw and powerful. Tech/prog/thrash metal. Excellent.

^^Exactly why I don't like them, not my kind of metal. I don't mind some of the music though, I struggled through Obzen twice before I gave up on this band.

I won't vote Joe, out of respect but I did try to listen to them a couple of years ago before concluding they are not my cup of tea.

I respect that LG. I have to listen to a album at least three times before it give it a rating. That's part of my criteria. Listening to a couple songs from youtube doesn't cut it.:D

^^Almost 3 years ago a young friend of mine from Iceland was introducing all kinds of metal bands in a forum I used to frequent. We got to be good friends and he would exhort me to listen over and over and over again to the black/death metal bands that he loved, and told me I had to "Force Myself" to listen until I started to like the bands....:lmao:

Of course his forum name was "Death" so that was to be expected and he was so earnest trying to turn me to the "Dark Side" it made me smile.

I agree I never sound off until playing something from beginning to end in sequence a few times, however the 2nd time though Obzen was enough Meshuggah for me for my lifetime so that was it for them.

I missed this one. I voted great. Very difficult to listen to the whole album. It's too much. But some of the songs are fantastic. Saw them live a few years ago and they were Brutal!!
