Re: Deep Purple
Can't forget the 1970 classic
Deep Purple In Rock album...
I love
70's Deep Purple.
And I also love the three albums they put out in the
60's.
Shades of Deep Purple (1968)
The Book of Taliesyn (1968)
Deep Purple (1969)
Machine Head = one of the greatest rock albums of all time!
I agree. I don't know were I'd rank it, but it's up there with the great albums of the 1970's.
Also,
Made In Japan is up there with the best live albums of the 70's.
Fireball and
Who Do We Think We Are were pretty good albums too. Not great, but they did have some GREAT Deep Purple classic songs on each album.
Deep Purple with David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes were ok.
Burn and
Made In Europe were cool, but
Stormbringer wasn't. Except for the title track and the song, ''Lady Double Dealer'' in my opinion.
I kinda like ''Come Taste The Band'' with Tommy Bolin. A decent album.
And
Perfect Strangers was one of the best albums of the 80's. A nice surprise, out of nowhere by them.
Deep Purple in Concert 1970/1972 and
Scandinavian Nights are great rockin' live album also.
even though Smoke on the Water has been played to death, I still enjoy it and Never skip over it
I totally, totally agree with you, Lord Grendel. I still love hearing ''Smoke On The Water''. I really don't listen to the radio that much, so this song is as fresh as ever to me. I love it. It's classic!
