In the 1970's, country-rock (rock music with a country flavor) was popular.
    e.g. The Eagles.

How do you feel about country-rock? Who's your favorite contry-rock bands/artists?

I think The Marshall Tucker Band and Charlie Daniels would fit into either catagory.

I'm not sure where to draw the line, but one thing that is awesome is when rock artists do country stuff. Songs like Too Far Gone (Neil Young) and Forever Young (Bob Dylan) are really excellent.

Yes there is, and it all began with The Byrds, Bob Dylan, and The Flying Burrito Brothers.

In the eighties I saw a band called Jason and the Scorchers they were really energetic and classed as a kind of heavy country/rock or cow punk whatever they were good.
