Oh my god. What the hell is wrong with these people? :mad

I guess I could see snubbing Bon Jovi & the E-Street Band for a little while longer, but snubbing Heart? KISS? What the hell. :omg:

No Rush = no credibility. Even if you hate the group, you would have to possess the IQ of an eraser to not realize the immense influence they have had on so many musicians.

I think it's a horrible list. Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Heart should have definitely been included from the nominations. :uh:

I was reading this article last week. There are so many bands and artists that should have been included. These are just 10 and I agree with the majority of them.

I'd replace The E Street Band with Electric Light Orchestra!

She is better remembered as a songwriter. She wrote hits for Blood, Sweat and Tears, Barbara Streisand and Three Dog Night, among others.
I think it's ironic that the Monkees get no love from the nominating branch because they were "manufactured" and yet Don Kirshner, the man who "manufactured" their music, in the beginning anyway, is getting in.:wtf:
I'm glad the (Small) Faces are getting in.

Yep, "And When I Die" along with "Eli's Coming", so Laura Nyro should have been inducted as a Non-Performer, bad idea to induct Don Kirshner, regarding The (Small) Faces, enough of these Clyde McPhatter Club inductions already, no other sports or music hall does it, nobody should be an inductee more than once until everybody else gets their initial chance!

This list is a joke...and I love Donovan and Guns N' Roses...

Donovan....yeah, he disserves to go in, imo...

but, there should be a lot more bands to go in before Guns N' Roses....

the list is long....

Not bashing Joan Jett....but, most or all of her hits and fame are due to cover songs...

Heart over Joan Jett by miles.

Hey LG....What'cha ya want? :heheh:

What'cha What'cha, Watch ya want....

this is rock and roll nowadays, get with the times!

On all counts, thanx, each of your points needed to be said, this has to be the worst induction class yet, no Spinners, War or Donna Summer!

The Beastie Boys? The god damn Beastie Boys? Over Joan Jett?

I tend to defend the Hall...Seeing as Leonard Cohen made it in, I don't feel like I can complain about anything...But this will not do. :mad

^^I am not surprised to see you say that JG...:heheh:

This so called Hall of Fame does nothing but embarrass itself time after time, real music fans know the score.

The only rational explanation that comes to mind is they want to be inclusive of newer artists to broaden their appeal/fan base/support, what they fail to realize is by ignoring the true great old bands they should have honored first they have made a mockery of the whole idea of a proper tribute to musical legends.

I do admit I don't mind giving them some "stick" when they post their lists for the next batch of inductees though...:oyea:
