I have posted this before several years ago but maybe about 8 or 9 years ago I saw CHUCK BERRY'S name advertised as playing in some back street London pub gig?.

All a bit suspect unless some "Chuck Berry guitar playing fan" was paying homage to Chuck and playing some 'tribute gig' to the great man and got away with just advertising his name in full cos it was a out of the way place but it all seemed totally bazar that CHUCK BERRY would be playing some back street pub in London's east end??

I remember reading about 20 years ago that some guy was going around playing gigs under the BO DIDDLEY JUNIOR name but sometimes he use to drop the 'junior' bit and just used BO DIDDLEY only and Bo Diddley's management had to contact the guy to tell him to include the 'junior' otherwise they would take action?.

I saw Chuck around '81(?) in Greensboro, NC at a joint called "Louie's Rock City South". Spoke to him, shook hands and got this. Man has hands as big as a pork shoulder. Signed on a bail bondsman card.

I recall Bill Wyman of 'the stones' saying years ago on a DVD that when Chuck played the Finsbury Park Astoria in London back in the early 1960s he tried to visit Chuck's dressing room after Chuck had come off stage and was told by the theatre manager that Chuck had told him not to let anybody in because he was busy cooking his sausage, egg and chips for his supper!!.
