Re: Chickenfoot

Playing HoB here in August. ($55 - OUCH!!). Seen Satch and Hagar solo and both kicked ass. Should be a great show in a club. Michael Anthony is sorely missed from what they're passing off as VH these days. His vocals sound great on this backing up Hagar.

Re: Chickenfoot

 I saw them last night at the Beacon Theater in NYC - whole lotta energy and they played for a hour and 50 minutes....
The four of them looked like they were ejoying every minute they played.
The only complaint I have about last nights show is that it was much louder
then necessary, other then that - I suggest you check them out.
Their cd is good but they took all of the songs to the next level. "Down the
Drain" was my fav.
Enjoy.

And remember - keep those model subway trains running - I love 'em
watch the closing doors :D

Sounds good! Looking forward to the show Aug. 29th here in Myrtle Beach. As a Deep Purple fan I was pleasently suprised to see them do Highway Star for an encore on You Tube. Satch toured with the Purps when Blackmore quit in '93 prior to Steve Morse joining so there's something of a connection there.

Did they do any of their solo, Van Halen or Chili Peppers tunes?

Re: Chickenfoot

:eek:hyeah:They did not do any material from their respected bands....and they did not do Highway Star in their encores although they did a little piece of Immigrant Song in the encore started by Michael Anthony...:grinthumb

Re: Chickenfoot

I can't believe this band hasn't been mentioned lately.. They are working on a second CD and I have the first and I find that it's no way like Van Hager..
What a kick ass CD right from the start..
If you own it you know what I'm talking about..
A collective mix of musicians that have a formula that to me has been missing in newer rock bands..
I can't wait to hear the new Cd when it comes out..
And if they even come close to the disolate area I call home.. I'll be there rocking out!!!

Re: Chickenfoot

I have this album and it is good, caught them on Planet Rock radio station and went straight out and purchased the album. Some killer guitar riffs from Mr Satriani.
