Vanity/Nemesis is a Good heavy album. I used to own "into the pandemonium" which to me was the 1st ever GOTHIC METAL album . inspiring stuff. i borrowed it to a friend and never did get it back! grrrr [ dont you just hate that when it happens..:banghead:.] I also own the " cold lake " album which got a lot of stick by everyone, critics.fans and even the band itself!! On the back of the album cover.. shock!!.....they had turned glam !! w.t.f !:wtf: this album has become a big collectors item as the band refuse to re-release it! Thankfully CELTIC FROST returned to form:grinthumb

Re: Celtic Frost

I love Celtic Frost. They are one of my favorite metal bands. I don't really think I can go along with their recent "black metal" tag that they have been given though. We always considered them to be a thrash band when I was listening them in my teens.
I have To Mega Therion, Morbid Tales , Emperor's Return, Into the Pandemonium, and Monotheist on CD. I have Emperor's Return on mint vinyl as well
Love the art work . I'm not a big fan of Cold Lake or Vanity / Nemesis.

Still, all in an all excellent band. Tom G. Warrior has started another band called
Triptykon. They have recently released their first full length album entitled
Eparistera Daimones . I picked it up the other day and I really like it. It could easily be a great follow up to Monotheist had the band stayed together.

Here is a link to their myspace page:
Triptykon (Official) on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

Any Celtic Frost fan should definitely give them a listening to.

Plus every Celtic Frost fan should listen to the Hellhammer - Pre-Celtic Frost band playing blackened thrash metal, which is BRILLIANT!

I am not that fan of CF, but I thought Hellhammer fits in here. :D

Re: Celtic Frost

Remember when they kinda glammed out??

Cherry Orchards was still a heavy tune though however.

Re: Celtic Frost

^^ It's not only heavy, but the LP is ultra rare.
