Re: Bob Dylan

I like and respect Bob Dylan, but I don't play his music very often. All I have right now is a greatest hits Compilation CD, it has enough of his best songs for me Tattoo'd.

He is one of those artists that people either seem to like a lot or not at all.

I would like to put this in the 60's forum...that is when he started.

Bob Dylan was way ahead of his time. He got the stone "rolling".

My favorite song by him is "Like a rolling stone".

Re: Bob Dylan

I'm not a fan of Mr. Dylan personally. I never much liked his voice or lyrics, and his use of instruments (in my mind) was pretty subpar. I'm glad he came along and inspired numerous other artists (many of whom I am a fan), but I just don't like his works. There are a few songs I like, but that's really it.

Re: Bob Dylan

oh man, are they not any bob dylan fans on this forum?

I'm trying to be Tatoo'd lady... I like the fact that he tolerates people running up on stage during his performances..

But seriously.. He deserves much credit for his contributions to the Rock world..

Re: Bob Dylan

he totally does deserve a lot of credit! but too many people don't see the importance Bob had on music as a whole or that he did much more musically than write Like a Rolling Stone

Re: Bob Dylan

He will go down as a legend Tattoo'd Lady.. Sometimes a great person has to pass on to leave an impression or as I say.. wake up the dead...
But don't shy away from keeping your post about him updated..
I for one find him more interesting the more others show me more about him..

Re: Bob Dylan

I have a great respect for his writing, but I think he should have stuck to writing and not much playing or singing ;)

I do like a few of his tunes, the ones that don't have so much of the Dylan vibe:tongue:

MP edit: Revoved dead video

I think I saw Hurricane was already posted...

and some of his most underrated work IMO

their voices work so well and the heartbreakers do an excellent job backing him

and the best supergroup to ever be spawned
