Blues-Rock is making a comeback. There a quite a few new blues-rock bands and a whole Texas blues-rock scene that is really becoming popular.

The first band I am going to introduce you to is:

Jason Elmore & Hoodoo Witch

This is a Blues-Rock trio from Texas. They play blues-rock in a style that would make Stevie Ray Vaughn smile in his grave. If you like Cream, ZZ Top, Joe Bonamassa, Rory Gallagher, then do yourself a favor and check this group out. Their debut album of 2010, featured below, is co-produced by Jim Suhler (guitarist for George Thorogood & The Destroyers) and is an outstanding debut.

Band Members:
Jason Elmore - Guitar & Vocals
Chris Waw - Bass
Beau Chadwell - Drums

I hope you check their myspace, Foxhound. They are a totally new band, and there isn't much online about them, but they sure do "rock it" blues style.

I was pleasantly surprised when Magic told me about this new band a couple of days ago...while not exactly like SRV, they sure are in the same area code.

I Might even pick that album up.:grinthumb

Good stuff...his playing kinda reminds me of Gary Hoey at times, but he's definitely got his own thing going. I'm a little surprised by how much he plays outside of the blues scale at times in his soloing, but it all sounds good and makes for some expressive playing. (wish i could play half this good!) Thanks for posting this, Magic.
