Very cool and interesting thread! I'm sure alot of people think Black Metal or any sort of rock music of this nature was from the 80's on.

BESTIAL MOCKERY

One of my favorite Black Thrash bands...Storm of the Beast and Scream For War
from the Slaying The Life CD

Sledgehammer Sacrifice and Satan's Devilsaw from Gospel of the Insane
both of which I have on CD.

I guess I could add some Black Thrash bands to this thread :D

EDIT: Damn it !! Everything from Gospel you have to watch at Youtube

Satans Devilsaw sounds pretty epic! This band seems to be influenced by second wave of BM and Slayer mainly. Thanks, DKW. :grinthumb

Hailing from the windy city and another fav, have all but the debut and EPs. It's basically thrashy Celtic Frost w/ a strong Black metal influence and slight bits of Death metal here and there. Lyrics concentrate on historically reported paranormal events and The Occult.

ABSU

Absu started as a brutal Death Metal band but after the debut full-length they started changing their style to Black/Thrash Metal. Absu's lyrics mostly deal with occultism and Mesopotamian/Sumerian (Barathrum: V.I.T.R.I.O.L., The Sun of Tiphareth and Absu) or Celtic mythologies (The Third Storm of Cythraul, In the Eyes of Ioldánach and Tara). Theyhave some amazing cover artwork as well as killer releases.

1994 Barathrum: V.I.T.R.I.O.L.
1995 The Sun of Tiphareth
1997 The Third Storm of Cythraul
2001 Tara
2009 Absu
2011 Abzu

First Absu song you posted sounds similar to Slayer, just faster. Which album would you consider as a proper black/thrash?
