Springsteen....for me Darkness On The Edge Of Town alone is better than anything I've heard from Billy Joel

Springsteen due to the face that he played a major role in the evolution of rock.Joel,of course,has had many major Billboard hits and is one of the all time Billboard artists as well as he is on the list of most albums sold in the US if not the world,but I can't see how he's had a hand in being a true innovator in any measurable sense.The Boss' "Born To Run"(both album and song)boasted enormous influence on the direction of popular music
